Firebird Foundation’s mission is to address social adversity, particularly helping children and women to live in a safer, fairer world.

Through grant-making and donations, Firebird supports programmes that improve health, safety, education and employment, enabling more people to experience a life of opportunity, free from injustice and abuse.

Firebird achieves its mission through three pillars of change:

Pillar 1

Reducing abuse and promoting equal rights for women and children globally by supporting policy reform, grassroots services, healthcare and education.

Pillar 2

Using sport and music to unlock potential in young people , breaking the cycle of disadvantage and supporting their journey into adulthood.

Pillar 3

Using art as a tool to educate and inspire. Also to rehabilitate, creating an environment where survivors can be safe, recover and learn new skills.

We are proud to have supported a number of organisations to make transformational change.

Firebird’s Pillars of Change support the most vulnerable through UK and global partners who are aligned with our values. We believe that the best results come from clarity of purpose, integrity and open collaboration.

Through everything we do we are:

  • We give to organisations that champion inclusion and operate without prejudice. Firebird supports organisations that can demonstrate high standards of collaboration, fairness, assessment and opportunity in both their charitable work and the teams they employ.

  • Simply, we want to make the biggest difference. Being open to innovation as well as measured performance, we partner with organisations who deliver real impact and put accountability at their core. It’s about making the most impact we can, in the way it is most valued, in the most sustainable way.

  • We believe passionately about changing harmful norms, for good. We are not afraid to call-out taboos and work with others to amplify our voice, to advocate for survivors and at-risk groups who don’t have the power to effect change themselves. Firebird welcomes innovation and is always open to learning new and better ways of working.

Firebird’s Board of Trustees

  • The Firebird Foundation was created by Olivia to give more opportunity to women and children globally. She has mentored and volunteered for charities dedicated to this cause throughout her life. With a career in business management, Olivia brings a commercial mind to a non-profit environment. This, combined with a passion to give back sustainably, led to the birth of Firebird in 2021.

Responsible for setting the strategic direction of the foundation, Olivia wants to make the world a safer place where women and children can thrive, with more knowledge, choice, opportunity and employment than ever before. She believes strongly in making men more part of the solution and in using the Arts and Sport as vehicles for change.

“The Firebird Foundation is bold, energised and ready to bring lasting change. By upholding an inclusive, diverse approach to our giving, we are committed to alleviating adversity among the most vulnerable and to making the world a better place for all genders to thrive in. We are excited to partner with others to create more impact than we could alone, so that our efforts have a ripple effect way beyond our investment.”
